Who Am I Presentation

Wednesday, August 28th

What are some qualities of a good presentation? How can you make a boring presentation interesting? Explain.

Good qualities are loud and clear speaking, don't say "umm", not too long, and keep people interested. You can turn a boring presentation to an interesting one by incorporating your audience and make it colorful and pretty. When things are nicely put together, people tend to pay more attention and stay focused rather than a boring, plain presentation.

Tell me if you agree with this statement and then explain why or why not. "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted I should be able to use it.

Yes, I agree with this statement because we all already know that once you put a picture on the internet, you can never& get rid of it. Therefore, knowing that, you are allowing everyone with internet to see it. Don't post something you don't want everyone to see because it is very possible it will get around.

What is the importance of online safety and protecting your information? What do you do to protect yourself online? Share an experience you or someone you know has had with online safety.

Online safety is important because anyone in the whole world can look at your pictures and post without you even knowing it. If you don't your information, others can get a hold of your personal information like your phone number or email. on twitter and instagram, I have it on the privacy setting so if anyone wants to follow me, I have to accept it in order for them to look at my pictures or posts. i also don't put any personal info like my address of phone number. Last year, my moms got an email on her yahoo account. the email said it was from a friend of ours and he was stuck in another country and is asking my mom so lend him money to get back to America. It told us to send him like an electronic check. My mom was so confused and called him to ask what it was about and he had no idea about it. We found out that a hacker got a hold of my moms yahoo account and used one of her contacts to email her but really, if she did send money, it would send to the hacker and get a hold of her credit card number. My mom changed her password and she never got an email again.

After watching the short clip of Ashton Kutcher's acceptance speech what did you take away from his advice? What does this quote mean to you -"Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use."

When I heard Ashton Kutcher’s speech, I took that we all shouldn't try to be followers. We should all be leaders. Make a life that you believe is going to make you happy and you shouldn't care about what other people think about it. Build a life that you are confident in and let those who are true to you and worthy be able to join in on your life. No one should feel like they are nothing because everything in this world matters in some way. Never give up. Be independent. Don’t depend on people. You are the only one who can tell you to be you.I understood this quote as everyone has a placed in this world. Anyone can change the world if they really tried. You can influence your beliefs and caring it on to other people. Sooner or later, you will change your life and others. You can make that first move that no one is brave enough to make and then you will be the one of many leaders.
